I like your Ten Commandments. No shalt not’s and ten Thou Shalt’s. Thank you, well said.

Of course you are correct and hit all the major points. We are entering perilous times under Trump and his ilk.

Such a well thought approach to combating the “Christian’s for Trump” movement- I find it difficult to even pair the word Christian with Trump’s name. I will use your version of the commandments when speaking with difficult individuals

Marc Friedman: John Lennon: "Strange days, indeed!"

Yours is a very important voice in the resistance, and you bring your profound understanding of philosophy to bear on today's crisis of confidence in our Democracy.

Your "Ten Commandments" exhibit the core values of John Rawls (Theory of Justice; Liberalism), John Locke, and "The Federalist".

Meanwhile, Nancy (my Love over 53 years) read to me that Elon Musk and Giorgia Meloni are not dating . . .

Wait. Biden and Harris can stop this as they have or in power in the white House. At this point if they try to stop then they will need the military. Trump has Russia and Putin.

Meaning for starters we do not let the republican administration as it is now take over. That handles all the commandments and we the example for our future leaders and citizens.

These are aspirational ideals and sound great "on paper." Nevertheless, I feel compelled to point out that our so-called justice system is both unequal and just as corrupt as our political and social systems. Human-based systems can be improved but they can never be made perfect. Money is not speech and corporations are not people. Corporations are made up of people. But owners, executives, and directors are treated better than the workers employed there and the communities in which their facilities are located.

Aspirational is good. I hope you aspire to fulfilling these Ten Commandments.

PS: our Federal Judicial system is not corrupt. Having practice in it for almost 50 years, I know that the Federal judges are honest and are trying to do the best they can. Of course there may be outliers, perhaps including Judge Cannon. But corruption means dishonesty and I do not believe Federal Judges are dishonest.

I accept your explanation with reservations. I cannot name the Federal Judges that Trump's attorneys and political allies seek out other than Judge Canon. But I know these judges and circuits exist and they actively intervene when requested by members of Trump's team. Judge shopping is fundamentally dishonest and partisan.

Well conceived, well and timely said.

“Justice, justice shalt thou pursue.” The Torah.

“Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world’s grief. Do justly now. Love mercy now. Walk humbly now. You are not obligated to complete the work. But neither are you free to abandon it.” The Talmud.

Looking forward to the 26th.

Nicely put. This basic guide is a day-by-day exercise in patience, that will be necessary to keep the republic until it can be returned to the care of citizens that cherish it. Patience is hard, when we want immediate relief, but one bite at a time, we can devour the elephant.
